Does anybody think that people’s taste in music, movies and books is constantly decaying?
For example "Avatar" It’s virtually Pocahontas and Dancing with the Wolves in space. I can relate it with at least a dozen movies and has every cliche from the last 50 years and it’s the typical "white people destroy native americans" talk about the hypocricy… if the native americans would have won… there wouldn’t be any Avatar or USA.. And that mineral… unobtainium ? :))))) what the hell ? or the fact that that dude still uses an old fashioned wheelchair but they have the technology to put people’s minds in other bodies… the 3D ? it was like watching a video game on steroids… didn’t believe it to be "real" like it was supposed to for even one second. LAME LAME LAME …and has 8.5 on imdb ? or twilight, or books like "The DaVinci Code" or house music that has no meaning what so ever… music is an art and it offends it… i could go on and on… jeez
Honestly, what don’t you people get about Universal Theme????? The theme wasn’t "white people destroy natives", it was we only have one world, and we need to be a part of it instead of milking it for all it’s worth and leaving it dead, thus practically killing ourselves. Read "The Giving Tree", it might clear a lot of that up for you. Unobtainium is the generic, sci fi term for a mineral of high value but limited quanitity and exponential difficulty to obtain. And Jake explained the use of his wheel chair and the fact that they couldn’t fix his back, or weren’t you listening. The 3D wasn’t meant to look like a video game- you weren’t supposed to focus on the effects, it was there to create an experience versus "ooh, look at that effect", or "ooh, this is in 3D, look at me". Don’t bother trying to slam Avatar, it just makes you sound weak.
I agree with you on Twilight, though. It has no character, no heart, no plot, and a dumb premise. The DaVinci Code was hockey; though, I have no clue what you mean by house music…

How to turn modern words into Shakespeare words in a poem?
I’m writing a poem for a class and we have to write a poem with Shakespeare words in it( for example: thy, thine, hither, ect.) I don’t know how to use the words though because I don’t know the meaning so if you could give me a link of definitions or a list of Shakespeare words that would help a lot, thanks!
"Thy" and "thine" are the possessive forms of "thou," the familiar second-preson singular in Shakespeare’s day (and a little later). "Thou" is the nominative/subject form, corresponding to "I"; "thee" is the objective case, like "me"; "they"and "thine" are like "my" and "mine." However, when the word after "my" or "thy" begins with a vowel, use "mine" or "thine" instead. Any verb with "thou" as irs subject ends in -st, except "shalt," wilt," and "art."
"Hither" means "to here," and "hence" means "from here." "Thither" and "thence," "whither" and "whence" have the same relation to "there" and "where."
Sqiguy is right that the King James Bible uses the same kind of English. In fact, there’s even a legend that Shakespeare was one of the translators. I also recommend reading some of Shakespeare’s sonnets to get a better feel for the English of his day.

How would you combine robert frost and shakespeare into a poem?
For english we have to select a poet, memorize one of their poems and some how display the meaning of the poem to our audience and wear costumes, etc. We’re allowed to work in partners and kind of put on a skit so that poets are for instance having a tea party together. My friend has robert frost and i have william Shakespeare, how do we combine the two in a skit with our poems?
Romeo and Juliet Shakespeare talking to Robert about how bad his Poetry is:: "Oh Frosty, Oh Frosty. Wherefore art thou Frosty? Deny thy pathetic poetry and refuse to write more, or if wilt not be but sworn my love and I’ll show you how to write poetry. Thou are thyself though not a poet, what’s a poet? It is not novel, nor chilish, nor biography, nor legend…nor any other part belonging to literature. Oh, be some other writer, whats in a writer? That which we call a Shakespeare by any other name would be as sensual. So would Frosty, would he not Frosty called, retain that dera imperfection which he owes without that title."
Robert Frosts Nothing Gold Can Stay
Shakespeare’s first sonnet is gold,
His hardest one to hold.
His early play’s a flower;
But only so five hours.
Then Hamlet subsides to insane.
So Juliet hit Romeo with a cane,
So Ophelia drowns to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
music tracks for a presentation?
I have to find a music track (instrumental) that relates to my book im reading because i need music for my presentation. the book is called double identity by Margaret Peterson Haddix.
The music has to relate to the story (the genre of the book is science fiction.)

biographical work about cancer caused by smoking. suggestions?
frequenters to ‘health’ questions might have noticed me asking questions about quitting. here is another one.
i will be quitting in a couple of weeks and i want to scare myself so that i stay away from the stinking habit. i think a biographical work about someone fighting cancer caused by smoking will do the trick. it will be great if it is of a woman.
no self help books please, i never read them.
any suggestions?

Need a good classic literature Book.?
I do enjoy reading and would like to be an author one day, I am 15.
and in my 10th grade english class we need to read a classic literature book like the scarlet letter or Dracula.
I have already read: To kill a mockingbird, Animal Farm, Frankenstein, The Scarlet letter.
I am a huge fan of gothic literature. Some of my favorite authors are Stephen King, Chuck Palahnuik, Edgar Allen Poe. I loved Frankenstein and Animal Farm, I also enjoyed the scarlet letter but disliked To Kill A Mockingbird. I like stories of fantasy, horror, Sci-Fi, and stories with double or hidden meanings. So if you have a few classics you think i would like please help me.
