All time fav. “My Goodnight Book” (1981) Few short phrases, both my kids knew all the words before they were 2.
Little Golden Books “The Sleepy Book” Makes me yawn every time, works on kids too :) “Ten in the Bed” Another good one for small children, they can read along.
Mother Goose is great as well, you can read two rhymes when time is tight, or 20 rhymes when you have a bit more time!
(Little Nutbrown hair is great as well!)

I make up a story every night too… Sometimes my stories are 15 minutes long with long drawn out themes, other times they are two minutes long and I introduce the character (with my children’s names) and then they live happily ever after, those are the nights I have a lot of homework!!
My kids love hearing their names involved in a creative story and my 3 year old now makes up stories all day long!
We do read on the couch before we start our bedtime routine every night though.

I try to read a different book every night. I don’t want to have to go out and buy another copy of a book I lost, because they were attached to it. It also, and this is the real reason here, helps build vocabulary. Right now we’re reading a book of short stories.

I like to make up stories about the child or children.

My kids absolutely love it… we talk about their adventures that they will have in their dreams with their stuffed animals.

It helps them have pleasant dreams and also is creative, because the kids are helping… they will tell me if they want to be princes or knights or whatever.

If I babysit my one …
If I babysit my one year old twin nephews, is it acceptable to set them in their walkers, in the middle of a large carpeted living room, facing in opposite directions and then tying their walkers together with a 3 foot length of rope?
I want to babysit but I also want to look away for three minutes to watch your vids and be able to turn my attention back to them after the vid is over and still be able to find them.
    Is that wrong?
What would y’all recommend for one year old twins?
